At UW–Madison, we recognize the increasing need for comprehensive mental health support for our students. They encounter numerous challenges, and ensuring access to essential mental health resources is vital for their success. The Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Fund empowers the UW–Madison community to provide the necessary support for students to navigate these challenges. Your contribution will enhance suicide prevention and mental health promotion efforts at UW–Madison, including:

  • Developing, implementing, and evaluating suicide prevention training and educational opportunities for students, faculty, and staff
  • Distributing safety tools like medication lock boxes and gun locks to promote a safer campus environment
  • Creating and launching campaigns aimed at reducing stigma, encouraging help-seeking behaviors, and fostering a culture of care on our campus
  • Reducing barriers to accessing campus mental health services by providing financial assistance to students and improving access to and continuity of mental health care

Your generosity strengthens student mental health support, advances suicide prevention, and improves health equity at UW–Madison.

Thank you for making a meaningful impact.

The Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Fund is an initiative of University Health Services, which is a unit of Student Affairs at UW–Madison.
